Stanley A. “Stan” Murawski Jr., 77, of Murrysville, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at his home. He was born October 16, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Stanley and Regina (Helinski) Murawski. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Linda Murawski.
Stanley graduated from RETS Electronic School in 1965. Upon graduation he worked for IBM in New York as a mainframe specialist. In 1966, during the Vietnam War, Stanley was drafted into the United States Army where he was later honorably discharged after achieving the rank of Captain. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Drexel University before completing his Master of Science in Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Stanley was accepted into the doctoral program at Carnegie Mellon University, where he completed 3 years of coursework, leading him into the field of engineering technology. After a long and incredibly dedicated career, Stanley held the position of Technology Consultant at Ultimate Kronos Group.
Stanley built a loving home and raised his family near Pittsburgh, PA. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy L. (Tkatch) Murawski; three sons, Jason (Megan) Murawski, Adam (Jennifer) Murawski, Christopher (Grace Saluga) Murawski; four grandchildren, Brent, Riley, Hope and Colette. He is also survived by three brothers, Steven (Betty) Murawski, John Murawski, and James Murawski; as well as several nieces and nephews. Stanley was patient and caring, always making those around him feel welcome. He set an example of unwavering faith and unconditional love, that will be deeply missed.
For those wishing to pay their respects, visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc. Parting prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Hart Funeral Home, Inc. followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Mother of Sorrows Church.
