Susan A. Quigley, 59, of Underrock, Pa. died peacefully on November 10, 2017, following an illness.  She graduated from Franklin Regional High School in 1976 and immediately enrolled in the U.S. Army from which she was honorably discharged.  While on duty in Hawaii, she married her former husband, David Quigley, and gave birth to their only child.  She also received her B.S.E.E. from the University of Hawaii.  She moved to Orange County, CA and worked on the air force base installing GPS in aircraft.  During this time she obtained her pilot’s license.  Susan was a passionate motorcycle enthusiast, owning her own Harley with sidecar.  She was often seen with her Doberman or son in the sidecar, which was documented in several newspapers.  In 1991, she relocated back to Pennsylvania to be closer to family, to whom she dedicated the remainder of her life.  She was employed by Rockwell, Logicon and I.T. Group as a software engineer.  For the past 17 years, Susan co-owned a lawn maintenance and snow removal business, A Cut Above, with her son.  She became proficient as a heavy equipment operator/transporter and was a snow removal expert.  Most recently, she also secured her automobile dealers and notary licenses.  Susan had big dreams and plans and was a go-getter until her final day.  In addition to her business ventures, she was consumed with her family, son and grandchildren.  She was viewed as a courageous woman and hard worker who never hesitated to help a stranger in need.  She met adversity head on.  Susan was preceded in death by her parents, David and Virginia Cochran.  She is survived by her son, David; daughter-in-law, Sandi; and grandchildren, Peytin, Nakita, and David Jr.  She is also survived by siblings Kathleen Agostino of Slippery Rock, David Cochran of McKees Rocks, Ginger Beck of Delmont, and Sally Cowell of Greensburg; 7 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.  She will be sadly missed but not forgotten.  Visitation will Friends and family will be held at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville on Sat., November 18, 2017 From 10:00-11:00 am where a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Lawrence officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions will be accepted by the family to assist with final arrangements.

So very sorry to read about Susie in the Pittsburgh paper. ( Your aunt Sara & the rest of us are in South Carolina now.) Please extend our condolences to the entire family.
