Lois H. Schwader, 98 of Murrysville, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018.  She was born July 29, 1919 in Murrysville, daughter of the late Newton P. and Nellie Clements Hoey.  Lois graduated  from Franklin Township High School in 1937 and furthered her education, later graduating from Duff Business School in Pittsburgh.  She retired from the Murraysville Telephone Company and moved to Sarasota, FL, where she lived the next eighteen years.  Foremost in Lois’s life was her family, who she loved dearly, and her church, where she was active throughout her lifetime.  She had many interests.  Lois was a competitive ballroom dancer for Arthur Murray and also a dance instructor.  She modeled, did needlework, and loved to golf and travel.  There was no greater or more avid Pirate or Steeler fan than Lois.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Schwader; four brothers and three sisters; Leonard Hoey, Charles Hoey, Margaret Coulter, Anna Hoey, Twila Mercer, Newton Hoey and Jack Hoey.  Lois is survived by a brother, Edmund (Doris) Hoey of University Park, FL, and one sister-in-law, Mary Jane Hoey of Hilton Head, SC.  She also leaves behind generations of nieces, nephews and their descendants. Interment was private in the Murrysville Cemetery.  A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, in the First United Methodist Church of Murrysville with Pastor David Coul officiating.  If desired, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 3916 Old William Penn Hwy, Murrysville, PA. 15668 or a charity of choice.     www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com.

My Aunt Lois was a wonderful "Lady"! I did not get to know her. We moved to Maryland. We kept in contact and had seen each other twice. She taught me how to dance!! That is my most wonderful memory!! I did not learn of her death until March 11th. I know she is safe now and back with family.
