Mary K. (Pivik) Braun, age 79, of Export, passed away peacefully, surrounded by members of her family on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at UPMC East Hospital, Monroeville.  She was born August 14, 1938 in North Bessemer, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Pivik.   She will be remembered by her family and friends as a beautiful person and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Working the majority of her life as a homemaker, Mary will also be remembered for her love of baking.  Her cookies, cakes and pies were always a focal point of family gatherings and were enjoyed by all.  She was able to share her abilities while working at Christopher’s Bakery in Murrysville for a number of years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Verna Flanders, Carolyn Pivik, Mildred McGowan, Gloria Vultetich and brothers, Elmer Pivik, Chalmer Pivik and Orvin Pivik.  Mary is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Paul Braun Sr.; three sons, Richard Paul Jr. and his wife, Hazel (Walters), Robert Alan and his wife, Susan (Elchik) and Daniel Edward and his wife, Vicky (Dalessio), as well as 8 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren, a brother, Joseph Pivik of Plum Boro, a sister, Carol Hart of Delmont and many nieces and nephews.  Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 at the Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7.  Interment will follow in the Plum Creek Cemetery.
