James E. Sistek, 75 of Murrysville, passed away early Monday morning, July 23, 2018.  James was born in Mt. Pleasant on May 31, 1943.  After high school, he joined the Navy, where he served as a radar technician on the USS Intrepid until 1966, when he was honorably discharged.  James spent his career as an electronics technician at MSA in Cranberry until his retirement in 2003.  After retiring, James was a regular visitor to Townsend Park in Murrysville.  With his dogs, James enjoyed spending his mornings with friends as they walked the trails of the park.  James and his wife Virginia (Monheim) Sistek lived in Murrysville until she passed away in 1989.  He continued to live in their home until 2017, when he moved to the Redstone Highlands Murrysville campus.  In addition to his wife, James was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret C. (Marhefka) Sistek.  He is survived by three daughters, Liz (Bill) Beveridge, Maggie (Chris) Peak, and Karen (Mike) Bosco; a sister, Suzanne (Jan) Hlavsa; and seven grandchildren; Josh, Arlie, Carmine, Jordyn, Miles, Ginny, and Andy.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018, in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, at 11 a.m. with military honors accorded by the United States Navy.  Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville, has been entrusted with arrangements.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Action for Animals Humane Society, P.O.
