Kody Joseph Churma, 26 of Washington Township passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.  He was born November 19, 1991 in Monroeville, son of Duane P. and Laurie Jo Churma of Washington Township.  He was preceded in death by his uncle, Dr. Stephen Churma; Gam, two dogs, Snickers and Twix and his beloved rescue cat, Karmella.  Kody was a manager at Golden Ohm Beer Distributor where he enjoyed spending time with his co-workers and customers.  He loved fishing, camping and everything about nature, a true outdoorsman.  In addition to his parents, Kody is survived by his two sisters and “best friends”, Brooke and Montana Churma of Washington township; four loving grandparents; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends; three dogs, Nakema, Sahara and Sprinkles and four cats, Precious, Toby, Jasmine and Dots.  Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville where a blessing service will be held at 7:30 p.m on Sunday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kody’s name to go fund me at http://gf.me/u/kz9fkp .

Dear Mr and Mrs. Churma, Brook and Montana;

I was saddened to read of Kody’s death. He was sweet and quiet in class. He was a very kind child. My heart breaks for all of you. You will be in my prayers. May Kody’s memories and the thought of seeing him again in heaven keep your hearts warm. I am truly sorry for your loss.💕

I am so sorry for your loss. Kody was always so very kind, and sure knew how to put a smile on your face. He sure will be missed by not only me, but also the rest of his Shooting Bull family.

Dear Duane, Laurie, Brook, and Montana:
I am very sorry for your loss. I am not able to express in words how it must be to lose a child. Even though I did not know Kody and only saw him briefly at the picnic last year, he sounds as though he was someone you could be very proud of after reading the obituary.
