Helen L. McGuire, 98 of Murrysville, formerly of the Johnstown area, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019.  She was born April 24, 1920 in East Conemaugh, daughter of the late Earl C. and Elmira Morris Hildebrand. Helen attended Cambria Rowe Business College in Johnstown.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Murrysville and an active church choir member.  She sang in church choirs from her teenage years through most of her life.  She was a member of the Martha Circle, the church women's group and enjoyed the Birthday Girls group of friends who gathered together each month for many years.  She was a charter member of the Johnstown Order of the Eastern Star, Anna L. Windolph Chapter #495.  She was also active in helping prepare meals with the Murrysville Meals on Wheels Program for more than thirty years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jack Ribblett and a niece, Judy (Ribblett) Gardner.  Helen is survived by her husband, William J. McGuire; a son, Clifford B. (Bonnie) McGuire of Vandergrift; three granddaughters, Shannon (Doug) Sproat, Erin (Kevin) Day and Sara McGuire; five great grandchildren, Rowan, Rachel, Brian, Malachi and Adam; a sister-in-law, Jean Ribblett of Johnstown and one nephew, Lyle and three nieces; Patty, Cindy and Nancy, and their families.  Visitation Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. (January 16, 2019) and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hart Funeral Home Inc, Murrysville with a funeral service Thursday at 1 p.m. with Pastor David Coul officiating.  Interment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church 3916 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville, PA 15668 in Helen's name.
