David L. Park of Penn Hills, formerly of Level Green left the worries of the world behind him on Monday, February 10, 2020 after spending 68 years on this earth.  David was born August 6, 1951 in Wilkinsburg, son of the late Elby Park II and Louise Manzo Park.  Nearly all of David’s years were spent providing love, laughter, invaluable support and comfort to his family, friends and anyone lucky enough to have met him on their journey through this life.  David was a professional contractor by trade, but being an inquisitive intelligent person, managed to leverage his passion for building, fixing and understanding into every facet of his life to the benefit of everyone around him.  He was honest, kind hearted and loving and the strength everyone needed when they had none.  The light that his life provided will forever be a beacon in the darkness and although he can not know the extent of his impact, he will forever and always continue to provide strength for those who were blessed enough to have the memories of him and hold them in their heart.  Such was the strength of his conviction and love and caring nature for those around him.  David is survived by his wife, Ellen Park; a daughter, Michelle Sweet; two sons, Garrett Sweet and Michael Park; four grand- children, Kylie, Samuel, Joey and Asher, two brothers and three sisters.  Visitation Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 2-5 p.m. with talk and prayers at 5 p.m. at the Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville.  www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com

Dear Ellen, I was so shocked to hear about David’s death. Thank you for sending your friend to meet us Friday morning. I can’t imagine what you are going through, but I never expected this outcome at this time. I checked the papers online, but my brother in law found out from your brother that David’s viewing and service was being held today. We won’t be back until tomorrow night. I wanted to send something to you but I didn’t have your address. Sending our Sympathies and Love to You and your Family, Willie, Steve & Fleury.

Ellen and family,
I am so sorry for the passing of Dave. We had no idea he had cancer. Jimmy explained everything that happened after his surgery. Dave and I had some good times working together. I know Zach was there today. We moved to North Carolina almost 2 years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family in this very difficult time. We all loved Dave.
