Paul Jared Ingersoll, 56, of Penn Township, PA, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2020.  He was born August 17, 1963 in Pittsburgh and grew up in Murrysville, where he was a 1981 graduate of Franklin Regional HS.  He went on to graduate from the Pennsylvania State University where he completed masters studies in civil engineering.  Paul was a professional civil engineer with Gannett Fleming, Inc.  He was a very proud father and he enjoyed spending time with his family and his big lap dog, Hank.  He was a member of the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville.  Paul was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ralph and Margot Ingersoll, and his mother in law, Elizabeth Whitlow.  Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Janet; three sons, Jared Andrew, Timothy Owen and Evan Daniel; a sister, Anne Smith (Jeff) of Feasterville, PA, a brother, Scott Ingersoll (Karen) of Burbank, CA, a brother-in-law, Gerry Whitlow (Jodie) of Dalkey, Ireland, and father-in-law, Graham Whitlow of Fort Myers, FL.  Paul was also a very proud uncle to Trevor, Ryan, Ben, David, Emma, Kelsey, Katie, Kristin, Kara, Jack and Nora.  A memorial service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at a later date at the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville.  Friends are invited to visit with the family and join them for a luncheon following the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s name to your local SPCA.

Jan, I’m not sure you remember me; many years ago I worked with Paul & we all often went to happy hours together to celebrate the end of the work week. I was shocked to see Paul’s obituary in the Penn Franklin. I am truly sorry for your loss and send my deepest sympathy. I remember him as kind & soft-spoken, a gentle soul. May wonderful memories and gratitude for having him in your life bring you comfort.
