Angela “Angie” M. Adamek, 61, of Murrysville, PA and St Petersburg, FL, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020.  She was born June 3, 1958 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Anthony and Gilda Arrigo.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Arrigo. She is survived by her loving husband who adored her, R. Kevin Adamek; five loving children, Dylan Adamek, Kelsey (Dustin Mitsch) Golden, Keyern (Chanelle) Adamek, Colin (Emily Laubham) Adamek and Kerrianne (Stephen Johns) Adamek; two brothers, Philip (Sandy) Arrigo and David (Theresa) Arrigo; a sister-in-law, Barbara Arrigo; several nieces and nephews.

Angie will be remembered by her family and friends as being radiantly beautiful, inside and out. She was a light in dark places - always helping others and lending an ear to listen.

She loved to play tennis and was an excellent competitor on the court, but when she was at home, she was being followed around by the family pets - Josey, Chester, and the late Maggie who went on walks with her before jumping up on the couch to snuggle. Angie was an incredible cook and everyone enjoyed her amazing meals. She was known for leaving post-it notes with smiley faces, hearts, and little reminders around the house or tucked into suitcases. She also worked alongside her husband in the family business.

Visitation Friday, June 5, 2020 from 2-4 P.M.  and 6-8 P.M.  at the Hart Funeral Home, Inc. 3103 Lillian Avenue, Murrysville, PA 15668. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 11-1 P.M. There will be a funeral service and celebration of Angie's life at the Adamek residence immediately following the visitation. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to www.pancan.org

Family and Friends,
I am sorry for your loss. Remember all the love and fond memories holding them in your heart. Although I may not of been part of her adult life, she holds a place in my heart as a child playing together with my sister. Rest In Peace. Your cousin Kristine.

To Kevin and children and all who loved her,
I'm just one of many who were lucky enough to meet Angie fairly early in life and got to spend a good deal of time with her way back when. Shared prom dates and trips to Edinboro and first wedding ceremonies. Was watching the World Series with her in 1989 when the big one hit the Bay Area. As friends, we had a lot of history for which I'll be eternally grateful. Her beauty was not just physical and interpersonal, it was transcendent. Remember the sly smile that accompanied her offhanded remark, and you'll never lose her essence.
God love you, girl.
Mike

Kevin,

My heartfelt condolences to you and your extended family. I only had the opportunity to meet Angie briefly on two occasions, but I know from you (and from Toms note to me last week) that she was an amazing woman who fought an incredible fight.

My thoughts and prayers are with you,
Vic

I send my deepest condolences to everyone Angie touched, especially her dear family and friends. She was a lovely woman and excellent tennis player. She played on the court next to me for a long time, taking clinics and playing games at the old Monroeville Racquet Club and then later at the Murrysville Tennis Club.

She was truly amazing- always having a big smile and enjoying life, even though we knew she felt miserable due to the chemotherapy treatments. She is truly missed.

Sincerely, Beth Johnson, Murrysville.

Dear Adamek and Arrigo families,
I'm so saddened to hear about the loss of my dear cousin. When I was a young girl I loved staying at my Aunt Rachel's because Angie was there. She was the best. So kind and beautiful. She was my maid of honor. Keeping you all in my prayers during this tragic time.
