Clarence Skena, 82, known as “Buck” to friends and family, passed away July 17, 2020.  He was born August 27, 1937 to the late Peter and Victoria Skena.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Richard, Raymond, Gerald, and Alfred and by his son, Jeffrey.  He is survived by his wife, Lona, of 61 years; daughter, Charlotte (Tom); grandchildren, Sarah (Scott), Timothy, Katherine, and Kevin (Hannah); great-grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren and Kira; and a brother, Carl Skena.  He is also survived numerous nieces and nephews.  He was a resident of the Murrysville area nearly all of his life and was active in local land conservation and preservation for future generations.  After retirement from his career as a Metallurgical Engineer, he enjoyed nature photography and spending time with his grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held at a future date.  Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Westmoreland Conservancy westmorelandconservancy.org  Westmoreland Conservancy,  1 Priority Lane, Unit 446,  Murrysville, PA  15668.

Lona, I am very sorry to learn of Buck's passing. It was a pleasure to work with him to secure conservation of the Peter and Victoria Nature Reserve and other projects in Murrysville. I will remember Buck as truly committed to conservation of that nature reserve and also as a very kind person who worked to do good things for our community.

Aunt Lona and Charlotte, I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Bucky's passing. My deepest sympathies to you and the whole family. May he rest in peace.
