Bernie was, without a doubt, one of the most kind, gentle souls I've ever met. He was the consummate professional and team member in every possible way. He showed up every single day, worked incredibly hard, never complained, and was kind to everyone he ever came across. I am forever thankful to have had the chance to spend over 6 years working with him and will think of him often. I am heartbroken to hear the news of his passing and wish his family well during this incredibly challenging time. He will be deeply missed and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I talked to Bernie every week and he was happiest when his weekend plans involved spending time with his Dad, sister, niece and nephew. My heart goes out to all of you. He was a kind, gentle soul and so generous with his time and talent. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry sorry for your family's loss. I knew Bernie only briefly when I was on the board of Woodland Manor, but an important to me for me. I so appreciated his even, calm temperament and yet agency on on moving us forward as a community. Please know you are in my thoughts.

Met Bernie as a resident, we became good friends as board members of Woodland Manor. Bernie as President of the Board showed his leadership through major building renovations. His command, and direction was never questioned. His demeanor was always top shelf. Sadly you will be missed my friend.

Bernie attended Franklin Regional with me, and I remember him as being immensely kind and intelligent. He had the kind of problem-solving ability worthy of NASA, and was thoughtful and easy to talk with. I'm sorry he's gone so soon. I wish all of Bernie's loved ones peace in your grief. May his memory be a blessing.

I was shocked and so saddened to hear about Bernie’s passing. Bernie was the kindest, most gentle and caring person I have known. The world was a better place with Bernie in it. My heart breaks for Ernst and Elke as our families have been together for decades. Thankfully we have many happy memories being together. With love and deepest sympathies. Stephanie Bausch
