Anna (Drzal) Kepins

Anna (Drzal) Kepins, 95, died on Sept. 17, 2023. Born Jan. 15, 1928 to Joseph and Marcyanna (Skala) Drzal in Spangler, PA. Longtime member of Mother of Sorrows Parish and resident of
Murrysville, PA since 1954.  Anna was married to James Kepins in 1954 who passed in 2009. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and son Mark (2022). She was also predeceased by siblings Frank Drzal, Helen Slezak, John Drzal, Chester Drzal, Walter Drzal, William Drzal and Elnora Zemrose. She was the last living sibling. Anna is survived by sons James J. (Cindy) Kepins, John (Barb) Kepins and daughter-in-law Laurie Kepins. She is blessed with six grandchildren Christina (Chris) Beatty, Julie (AJ) Fikejs, Bethany (Joe) Rathbun, Scott (Kaylee) Kepins, Holly (Jared) Jordan and Ryan Kepins. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren who were a great joy to her. They are Gabriel Fikejs, Owen Fikejs, Theodore Beatty, Gemma Beatty, Connor Kepins and Luke Kepins.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna was a homemaker and volunteer. She was president of the former Murrysville Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary. She loved square dancing with her husband at Alwine Civic Center and other locations in the area. They enjoyed teaching others to square dance at various venues and entertaining residents at nursing homes.

A funeral Mass was held at Mother of Sorrows Parish, Murrysville.
Respecting her wishes, all services were private.
