Barbara L. (Smith) Powers

Barbara L. (Smith) Powers, 79, of Plum, left this world for her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.  She joined her parents, Ed and Mary Alma (Youler) Smith; sisters, Martha Jane Smith and Rose Ellen Gazy; and husband of 38 years, Paul E. Powers.  She was a graduate of Fairchance-Georges School, Class of 1960, York Run PA.  She loved serving her Lord as a member of the Murrysville Alliance Church. She enjoyed caring for children, bowling, traveling, crafts and decorating her home. Barbara left behind a son, Kenneth (Kimberly) Powers; a daughter, Audrey F. (Richard) Norris; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Janet Schwarz, Ruth Ann Jacobs, Twila Conticelli and a brother, Robert L. Smith. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Wages officiating.
