Barbara (Vernon) Southard

Barbara Southard, 92, of Monroeville, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024, at her home. She was born December 17, 1931, in Gambier, OH, daughter of the late Floyd Burr and Louise (Parsons) Vernon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Southard, two sons-in law, Mike Henning and Kevin Haberstroh; a granddaughter, Katie Southard; and a brother-in-law, Bill Turley. 

She is survived by four children, Molly Henning, Thomas (Debbie) Southard, Rebecca Haberstroh, Amy (Dennis) Ricketts; 12 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren; and a sister, Kate Turley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, by visiting https://www.cancer.org. Entrusted with arrangements is Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville. At Barbara's request, there will be no visitation.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Interment is at Oak Grove Cemetery, Gambier, OH.
