Betty J. (Hirst) Cumberledge

Betty Cumberledge, 93, of Brookline, PA, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Brookdale of Murrysville.  She was born March 23, 1928, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late William and Margaret Evans Hirst.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” L. Cumberledge Sr.; her son, Robert “Bobby Lee” L. Cumberledge Jr.; sister, Hildegarde (Frank) Schneider; and two brothers, Billy Hirst, and Bobby (Barbara) Hirst. Prior to retirement, she worked as a Senior Vice President for a local brokerage firm.  Betty will be missed by her two granddaughters, Amy (Jeremy) Miller, Erica (John) Raver; three great grandchildren, Ethan, Alexis, and Addison; her brother, Tommy Hirst (Betsy) and many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville, at which time parting prayers will be held.  A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville.  Interment immediately following at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Heartland Hospice, 3520 Route 130, Building 3, Irwin, PA, 15642.  Betty's family kindly asks everyone wear masks. www.hartfuenralhomeinc.com.
