Carl F. Urban Jr.

Carl F. Urban Jr., 83, of Murrysville, passed away on September 22, 2025, at UPMC East Hospital in Monroeville with family by his side.  He was born on April 22, 1942, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Carl and Alfreda (Waskiewicz) Urban. 

Carl was a proud University of Pittsburgh graduate with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He worked for companies including General Electric, Abbott Laboratories, and Westinghouse.  Carl was an avid golfer and loved to cook.  He traveled often to the Caribbean with his spouse of 56 years and loved his trips to the beaches all down the east coast. Carl and his wife have been members of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church since 1980.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor (Dawes) Urban; his two children, daughter, Eva (Robert) Tiskus of Murrysville, PA; and son, Carlton Urban of Tampa, Florida; and his two grandchildren, Ellie (Brendan) Murray of San Diego, California, and Reid Tiskus of Pittsburgh, PA.

Funeral services for Carl will be forthcoming.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Suncrest Hospice.
