Carlisle Verner Lloyd, 80 of Penn Township was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 13, 2022 following a long illness. He was born March 7, 1942 in Wilkinsburg, son of the late Norman Verner and Alice Marian Bryson Lloyd. He was a graduate of Penn Joint High School, Westminster College, Louisville Seminary and World Wide College of Auctioneering. He served as Pastor of Grand Rapids Presbyterian Church and Hasson Heights Community Church, as well as Ardara United Presbyterian Church for 28 years. He finished his earthly ministry attending Murrysville Alliance Church where he taught Primetimers’ Bible Study and chaired the Primetimers’ team. Auctioneering was his second career, which included doing the Trafford playground annual auctions. In addition to his parents, Carlisle was preceded in death by his sister, Romayne Daily Carnline. He is survived by his wife, Janet Blauser Lloyd; his children, John (Barbara) Lloyd and Mary Elizabeth (Ted) Bierbauer; a foster son, Michael (Cindy) Fatzinger; Stepdaughters, Sharon (David) Brauer and Rebecca (Michael) Bruhns; grandchildren, Camden and Kelsey Bierbauer, Kira Lloyd, Nicholas, Joshua and Zachary Brauer, Jessica and Hannah Bruhns, Aimee Verellen, and Nathan Fatzinger, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Malone. Visitation will be held at the Murrysville Alliance Church on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. In lieu, memorial contributions may be made to the Murrysville Alliance Church, 4130 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville PA 15668 or a charity of one’s choice in Carlisle’s name.
