Carol R. Holt, 75, of Murrysville, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at her home. She was born June 3, 1949, in Phillipsburg, PA, daughter of the late Rev. John and Bea (Patterson) Pugh. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard L. Holt; parents-in-law, Sherman and Martha Holt; brother-in-law, Maurice Sinan; sister-in-law, Patricia Holt; and a nephew, David John "Spikey" Pugh.
Carol was a long-time waitress at Dick's Diner Murrysville as well as working at the former Amacor window of Delmont. She took an early retirement after 25 years at Respironics in order to care for her husband and mother. Carol loved to crochet, and many family members and friends received her afghans, potholders and dish towels. She also loved to work outside in the yard and garden with her family. Carol also worked on the Delmont Apple & Arts festival committee for over 30 years. Carol will be greatly missed by her family and close friends.
Carol is survived by her son, Lance (John Hoehn) Holt; three grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Johnathan; a brother, David (Nancy) Pugh; a sister, Esther "EJ" (Daniel) Baran; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Michelle (Eric) Collins. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Sandra Sinan and a brother-in-law, Robert Holt. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc.
