Carol Ann (Knapp) Ney

Carol Ann Ney, 84, of Murrysville, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at her home. She was born January 15, 1940, in New Kensington, daughter of the late Edward and Emily (Kleinhans) Knapp. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice "Bud" Ney; and two brothers, Randall and Allen Knapp.

Prior to Bud's passing, Carol and Bud were married for 50 years. They loved to travel and see new places. They especially loved trips to Walt Disney World with their grandkids. A decades long educator, Carol taught kindergarten and pre-school; her students loved “Miss Carol”, her creative lessons, and her cookie and candy making.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Murrysville where she spent countless hours volunteering for their many different fundraising sales (she loved a good sale!). An avid reader, she also had a special affinity for Hallmark Christmas movies and had been known to watch from November until January, as well as Christmas in July! She enjoyed baking and cooking, and could never pass up a good donut!

Carol is survived by two sons, Chuck (Jody) Ney, and Doug (Melissa) Ney; as well as two grandchildren, Alexa and Mason. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
