David T. Carroll, 77 of Washington Township, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was born on May 26, 1945 in Pittsburgh, son of the late William R. Sr. and Eleanor M. Wakefield Carroll. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Carroll; and a brother-in-law, Michael Rook. David served our country during the Vietnam War as an Air Force Staff Sergeant. Prior to retirement, David worked in the RV industry for Cooper’s Inc. as well as Kaufmann’s/Macy’s where he always put a smile on customers’ faces. He was also a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Delmont, where he loved to sing special music. David loved gardening and was an avid historian. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Penny Vrudney Carroll; a son, James A. Carroll (Diego Castillo), a daughter, Jennifer Carroll Moody; two brothers, William R. Jr. (Carolyn) Carroll, and Timothy M. Carroll; a sister, Barbara A. Rook; two sister-in-laws, Donna Carroll, and Robin (Roger) Coldren, and a brother-in-law, Gary (Kathy) Vrudney. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special grandnephew and niece, Sean and Lizzy Price. Visitation is Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Faith United Methodist, Delmont at 11 a.m. followed by military honors accorded by the Air Force. Everyone please meet at the Church.
