David J. Federline, 60, of Murrysville passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Forbes Hospital.  He was born May 29, 1961 in Penn Hills, son of the late James J. and Alice V. Hannon Federline.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette C. Brinkos; and two brothers, James “Jim” P. Federline and Father Thomas A. Federline.  David graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Vincent College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.  He worked tirelessly for many years as a Certified Public Accountant.  He spent the last 21+ years working at Eckert Seamans Law Firm as their Chief Financial Officer.  He was awarded “CFO of the Year” by the Pittsburgh Business Times in 2016 with an award for lifetime achievement.  David was a member of multiple professional organizations including the “Pittsburgh Legal Administrators Association,” and the “Association of Legal Administrators.”  His Faith was always a driving factor in his life.  David was an active member of Mother of Sorrows Church in Murrysville for over 45 years.  He participated in many groups, including Marriage Encounter with his wife, Raissa.  He gave generously of his time, talents, and treasure.  He was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council 4226, and a Fourth Degree member of Bishop Lamb Assembly.  David was a true patriot at heart.  He loved his country and fundraised and contributed to military organizations with a special priority.  David carried his values through every avenue of life.  He shared his kindness and integrity with his community, work, and family.  He is survived and will be missed by his beloved wife of 36 years, Raissa Penkert Federline; five children, Michael (Emily) Federline, John (Marissa) Federline, Nicholas Federline, Catherine Federline, and Mary Grace Federline; and two grandchildren, Eleanor and Vincent Federline.  He is also survived by a sister, Margaret (Dr. Robert) Reilly of Muncie, IN; and two brothers, Richard Federline of Pittsburgh, and Robert (Vicki) Federline of Oakmont, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.  Recitation of the Rosary by the Knights of Columbus will be at 3:30 p.m.  Parting prayers will be held Friday in the Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville.   Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus www.kofc.org/donate in David’s name.
