David Marschik

David Marschik, 87, originally of Murrysville, died on December 12, 2024, at home in Oakmont, PA. He is survived by his wife, Anne (Sweeney) Valko Marschik, his children, Elaine (Julie), Michelle (John), and Eric (Brad) and his grandsons, Benjamin and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary (McIntyre) and Herman Sr, by his siblings, Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Herman Jr, and Robert and his son Michael.

Throughout his life, Dave’s mind was filled with inventing new things to build, whether it was a home improvement, an upgrade for a boat or bike, a fun Lego model, or one of the 12 patents he wrote in his 36 year career at Westinghouse Research and Development. In his free time, Dave enjoyed travelling with his family, and spending time outdoors, camping, hiking, white water canoeing, sea kayaking, and bicycling. He enjoyed his friends and workshop in Confluence, PA.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville.  A Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Mother of Sorrows Parish, Murrysville.
