Debra “Debbie” Marie Stramat, 37, of Murrysville passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at her home. She was born April 6,1988, in Monroeville. She was the beloved daughter of the late Dr. John Michael Stramat and Judith Grace (Radecki) Stramat of Murrysville.
Debbie was a 2006 graduate of Franklin Regional High School. Upon graduation, she worked at Joey’s the Edge in Export, and attended the workshop program at Clelian Heights. She was a parishioner of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Murrysville.
Debbie loved her family and friends. She enjoyed pigs, music, movies, and eating fast food. She had a phenomenal memory, always asking when people’s birthdays were and committing those dates to memory. Debbie loved to tell everyone that her birthday was on “4688”, which is the produce code for red bell pepper. Debbie knew what songs were on each Now That’s What I Call Music CD, and had every CD in the collection. Debbie also was the family calendar master and knew every appointment. She found joy in watching Peppa Pig and Spongebob, and she knew every word and song in the episodes by heart. Debbie cherished her nickname “Goud”, after the Gouda cheese she found amusing on cruise cheese plates. Debbie was truly loved by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her mother, Debbie is survived by two sisters, Sarah Grace (Evan) DeAngelis and Kayla Rose (Justin) Robinson and two nephews, Luke DeAngelis and Leo Robinson. She is also survived by an aunt, Lisa (Robert) Kronmuller and cousins, Grace (Ryan) Marshall and William Kronmuller.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville. Parting prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. John Baptist de La Salle Church, Delmont. Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA. 15626 in Debbie’s name.
