Dennis Cargnel Obituary

Dennis A. Cargnel, 81, of Delmont, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, at his home. He was born August 13, 1943, in Export, PA, son of the late Daniel and Katherine (Lovato) Cargnel. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Lou (Loretta) Cargnel and Robert Cargnel.

Dennis, also known as Den, Denny, and Crow to high school friends, was a proud son of White Valley.  He was an avid golfer, gardener, cook, Steelers fan and longtime partner in Bob’s Inn in Murrysville where he created a little community of friends who were drawn to his quiet, gentle ways. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father and friend who always had a lap ready for a sweet cat to cuddle in. He had a way of making life feel stable and true just by being himself.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara (Bullock) Cargnel; his son, Nick (Nicole) Cargnel; and a sister-in-law, Katherine Cargnel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research by visiting www.stjude.org. Friends will be received from 4 to 6p.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Hart Funeral Home, Inc.
