Dennis R. Hillen

It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis R. Hillen announces his passing on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at the age of 83 years.  He is preceded in death by Kathleen, his loving wife of 53 years with whom he raised five children.  Dennis will forever be remembered by his children, Edward (Mary) Hillen, Michael (Coleen) Hillen, Heather (Jason) Guiddy, Kevin (Amy) Hillen, and Megan (Jason) Blake.  He is also survived by his grandchildren; Elizabeth, Edward, Quentin, Sarah, Samantha, Alec, Zachary, Emily, Matthew, Andrew, Rachel, and Riley as well as two great-grandchildren, Kevin and Derek, all of who will miss their granddad dearly.  Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elizabeth Hillen and his brother, James Hillen.  He is survived by his loving sisters, June Campbell and Patricia Cummings.  He will also be remembered by his loving companion, Frances Luthardt and numerous extended family and friends.  Family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 12 at Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, 4202 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville, PA 15668. A funeral Mass will immediately follow the visitation at 10:30 a.m.  It is with regret, that due to the pandemic, a reception will not be held.  Memorial donations may be made in Dennis’s name to People Concerned for the Unborn Child, 3050 Pioneer Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15226.
