Dolores M. (Tokarski) Porta

Dolores M. “Doe” Porta, 86, of  Murrysville, passed on to the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, with family at her side. She was born on October 24, 1936, in Imperial, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve Rychlick Tokarski. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard C. Porta, her sister Marilyn (Carl) Parkison, and her brother Jacob (Joan) Tokarski.  

Many will remember her as an active member and paramedic for Murrysville Medic One for many years. That caring spirit continued as she became very involved with Project Smile, Friends Thrift Shop, and various groups at Mother of Sorrows Church.

Doe was a skilled seamstress, quilter, collector of antiques, and an avid reader. Her family was precious to her, and she took time to make special memories with all of her grandchildren. Her love and guidance will be missed by all. Her strong faith sustained her, and she looked forward to reuniting with her husband of 54 years.

Doe will be missed by her three daughters, Stacey (James) Davis, Lynn Porta, and Julie Porta; four grandchildren, Alex (Ashley) Davis, Lindsay (Dwayne) Anderson, Mariah Porta, and Audrey Creevey; five great-grandsons, Archie, Milo, Mac, Dash, and Nova; as well as her sister, Susan Tokarski, her brother, Edward “Mel” Tokarski, and four nephews, Michael, Joseph, Patrick, and Tim. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doe’s name to Murrysville Christian Concern, c/o Friends Thrift Shop, 5756 Kennedy Avenue, Export, PA, 15632.
