Dorothy J. (Class) Stonecheck

Dorothy J. Stonecheck, 81, of Penn Hills, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025. She was born July 6, 1943 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Allen and Olive (Love) Class. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Denver A. Stonecheck in 2001. She enjoyed watching movies, beach trips, was known for her collection of vibrant lipsticks, and dislike of board games. Dorothy thought the world of her children and grandchildren. Our favorite and best thing about her was her love for Jesus. She devoted her life to growing her relationship with Jesus and sharing it with everyone she could. She was always active in her church and this is where she found real joy and love. She is survived by three children; Lara (Joseph) Womer, Denver J. (Tracy) Stonecheck, and Scott (Jennifer) Stonecheck. She is also survived by her amazing grandchildren: Katlyn Jenkins (Clint), Shannon Stonecheck (Kyle), Austin Womer, Denver Stonecheck (Ashley), Hunter Stonecheck, Lauren Womer, Nick Stonecheck (Kaitlyn), Hannah Stonecheck, and Mitchell Stonecheck. Dorothy is also survived by two great grandchildren, Denver James and Colt Stonecheck; a sister, Pat (Wayne) Traud, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum Boro.
