Dr. Elizabeth (DeChurch) Strenkowski, PhD, 76, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully February 6, 2026, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville after a long illness. She was born on April 20, 1949, in Homer City, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen (Sara) DeChurch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rocco DeChurch, and her sister, Nicola DeChurch Alderson.
In her life, Elizabeth loved her family deeply and enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and being part of the Harley owners' group “Latrobe HOG”.
She is survived by her loving husband, John A. Strenkowski; her son, Anthony J. Strenkowski; a grandson, Hudson Strenkowski; her brother, Lawrence (Victoria) DeChurch; sisters-in-law, Tina Filoromo and Lucille Howell; her three nephews, Daniel DeChurch, Glenn Ference, and J.J. Strenkowski; and her niece, Alexis Geissler.
Visitation for Elizabeth will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville. Parting prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Export, at 10 a.m. Interment will then follow at Plum Creek Cemetery.
