E. Ruth (Cumberland) Wick

E. Ruth (Cumberland) Wick, 84, of Murrysville, born September 10, 1940, in Dickerson Run, PA, died on May 9, 2025.  Ruth was a long-time employee of Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh.  She enjoyed singing in the Shadyside First Methodist Church Choir, where she met her late husband, John I. Wick.  She also enjoyed her beagle dogs, watching football, NASCAR, and traveling extensively in the USA, Great Britain, Scotland, and Canada.  Ruth was a member of the Holiday Park United Methodist Church in Plum.

In addition to her husband, Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Leslie and Ursula Leora (Baldwin) Cumberland; her sisters, Jean Spillers, Nancy McKenna, and Linda Zubasic; sisters-in law, Jane Betts and Jeri Miller; brothers-in-law, Donald Spillers, Edward McKenna, Ronald Zubasic, and Richard Betts; her nephews, Michael McKenna and William Panati; and her niece, Beverly McKenna.

Ruth was a loving aunt of Jill (William Mountain) Spillers of Irwin, Janet Panati of Jeannette, Stephen (Jennifer) Spillers of Lancaster, Ohio, and all of their children.

In memory of Ruth, donations may be made to “The Good Samaritan Fund” at the Holiday Park United Methodist Church, 81 Sandune Drive, Pittsburgh, PA  15239.
