Eleanor M. Olechovsky, 95, of Murrysville, PA passed away comfortably on November 4, 2020 surrounded by family. She was born February 10, 1925 in Duquesne, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Antol Olechovsky. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers and their wives, Frank C. (Olga) Olechovsky and Edward (Beaufort “Boo”) Olechovsky; a sister and her husband, Margaret (Alexander) Miklos; and a nephew, Mark A. Miklos and brother-in-law Andrew Koval. She was a member of St. Hedwig (Christ the Light of the World) Parish, enjoyed the company of her weekly 500 card club and loved to dance. Many nieces, nephews and later their children, learned to dance the Jitter Bug and Cha-Cha with Aunt Eleanor. As a long-time resident of Duquesne, she worked in the office at US Steel Homestead but was better known for her generous support to others. She would provide transportation for seniors to church or shopping and helped her father prepare for his citizenship test. Eleanor’s home was a warm welcoming place for family and friends. She enjoyed time with her extended family and could always be found helping in the kitchen at gatherings. She will be remembered for her generosity as a wonderful sister, aunt, friend and neighbor. Eleanor is survived by a sister, Virginia Koval, who lives with her daughter Carolyn (Bob) Brown of Newark, DE; a niece, Karen (Gerald) Peterson and their family, with whom she resided with, in Murrysville; niece Diane (Dr. Richard) Egan, North Huntingdon, PA, Nephews Kevin (Anita) Miklos, North Huntingdon PA, Robert (Sandra) Koval, Denver PA, David (Kathleen) Raleigh, NC numerous great nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Duquesne, PA. www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com
