Elizabeth "Betty" J. Urick, 92, of Murrysville, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Concordia of Monroeville. She was born March 27, 1932, in Wilkinsburg, daughter of the late George and Vera (Michaels) Rorabaugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Richard, Gene, Evelyn, Don, Clifford, Jackie Rorabaugh and her husband of 36 years William E Urick (of Monroeville).
Betty raised her family in Monroeville and enjoyed her time in Foxwood Garden Club, Foxwood Bowling league, Flower Arrangement at Warner Flowers. She traveled extensively and somehow would always meet someone she knew from the Pittsburgh area during her travels; She valued her friends and acquaintances at Kings and Dicks Diner. Her passion for horses began on Aunt Minnie's farm near Cherry Tree Pa and continued with the ponies Tab and Champ while on Urick farm. Betty passed peacefully and will be loved and missed by family and friends she touched during life.
Betty is survived by her loving companion of 36 years, Don Albensi; three children, William (Barbara) Urick Jr., Robert (Willa) Urick, Beth Ann (Dave) Seaman; six grandchildren, Madalyn (Corey) Strittmatter, Gabrielle (Troy) Wilkerson, Abigail Urick, Angela (Jon) Tuulaupua, Anthony (Ashley) Jones, Robert Urick; five great grandchildren, Sophia, Skye, Justin, Gemma, Robert; six nieces and nephews, Clarence Albensi, Jean Albensi, Ray(Tristy) Albensi, Debbie(Duane) Cardamome, Cara (Josh) Lombardi, Jon (Karly) Cardamone and four great nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, at the funeral home.
