Elsie Mastorovich, 88, of Pittsburgh, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Reformed Presbyterian Home, Pittsburgh. She was born December 14, 1936, in Heatherton, Michigan, daughter of the late Hugh and Olive B. Morrow Harrington. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Mastorovich; six siblings, a brother, Harold (Ena) Harrington, Milton (Cordelia) Harrington, Donald (Marie) Harrington, Gordon (Joyce) Harrington, Evelyn (Donald) Felker, and Harriet (Edward) Doran.
She was very involved with her church. She was a Treasurer and Sunday School Teacher at Manchester Fellowship Reformed Presbyterian Church of New Kensington. She also served on the board of directors of the Reformed Presbyterian Home where she and her husband, Michael spent their last years together. She also attended Covenant Fellowship Reformed Presbyterian Church of Wilkinsburg.
Prior to retirement, Elsie was a Registered Nurse. She earned a BSN from the University of Pittsburgh and became the Unit Director of the pediatric unit of Eye and Ear Hospital in Pittsburgh. She later practiced nursing at Forbes Regional Hospital on the pediatric unit and the newborn nursery.
Elsie is survived by three children, Michael L. (Candace) Mastorovich, Melissa L. Mastorovich, and Matthew A. (Elizabeth) Mastorovich; four grandchildren, Molly H. (Michael) O’Donnell, Matthew, Morgan and John Mastorovich; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reformed Presbyterian Home, 2344 Perrysville Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15214. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2025, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville. A Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the funeral home.
