Eva Jane "E.J." McDowell

Eva Jane "E.J." McDowell, 82, formerly of NYC, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Concordia of Monroeville where she had been a resident since 2019. Born July 6, 1939, in Mineola, NY, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Kathleen Foster McDowell.  Until her retirement in 2011, EJ worked in the New York City department of finance. She was a lifelong artist, beachcomber, and dear friend to many. The youngest of three girls, she is preceded in death by a sister, Anne Grim.  Eva is survived by her sister, Kathleen Bohl Cassol; three nieces, and two nephews, as well as numerous great and grand nieces and nephews. Eva was kind and generous with a good sense of humor and a genuine love of people. She is truly missed by her family and friends. A Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville. Inurnment will follow at Murrysville Cemetery. www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com.
