George E. Bollibon Sr., 96, of Murrysville, died peacefully on June 25, 2023. He was born in Elm Grove, Fayette County, a son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Puskar) Bollibon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey Bollibon: two brothers, Joseph Bollibon, and Anthony Bollibon Jr.; and a sister Catherine Malik.
He was a Professional Engineer with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management from Carnegie-Mellon University. He retired from Westinghouse Electric after a 49 year career in the Nuclear Field along with Manufacturing and Management positions.
George was a proud United States Army Veteran, having served his country in World War II as an Army Staff Sergeant, earning the Bronze Star, Victory Medal, and Occupation Medal. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church for over 60 years and a long-standing member of the VFW and American Legion.
George is survived by his loving wife of 72 years Lillian (Kato) Bollibon; three children, Jim (Lorie) Bollibon, Lori (John) Frey, and George (Nancy) Bollibon Jr.; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
