Hugh I. Laverty

Hugh I. Laverty, 84 of Murrysville, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 1, 2021.  He was born April 15, 1936 in New Kensington, son of the late Howard K. Laverty Sr. and Roberta C. Crabill Laverty.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard K. Laverty Jr.  Prior to retirement, Hugh worked in the traffic department for U.S Steel for over 25 years.  He is survived by his wife, Janice DiSaverio Laverty of Murrysville; four children and two stepsons.  He is also survived by three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Visitation Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville.  Interment will be private with his family.
