James “J.L.” Heider, 75, of Murrysville, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, surrounded by family. He was born September 21, 1947, in Wilkinsburg, son of the late Homer and Lou Ellen (Wilson) Heider. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Olivia Marie Pasquale.
Jim was employed by Dominion Resources (formerly Peoples Natural Gas) of Greensburg for over 35 years and was a life member of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and woodworking. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with and was most proud of his grandchildren.
Jim will be dearly missed by his wife of almost 50 years, Barbara (Mauro) Heider; two daughters, Anita Pasquale and Sarah (Jeremy) Johnston; four grandchildren, Noah, Haley, Jacqueline and Allison. He is also survived by several siblings, in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
