James E. Lee, 80, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at his home. He was born January 18, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Milo and Effie (Jarvi) Lee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Wayne Lones and Tom Helm.
James Lee was an amazing father, husband, and friend. He was a great man who meant so much to so many. Jim served multiple California counties as a highly decorated probation officer. In his personal life, he was a lover of automobiles, sports, and history. One of the highlights of his later years was returning to the farm in Michigan he grew up on. Jim was so incredibly proud to share this experience with those he loved the most. He was always an encouraging, positive voice to anyone who needed to hear it. Jim touched many lives over the course of his eighty years and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen L. Lee; his son, Stewart (Raffaella) Lee; a sister, Lois Johnson; a sister-in-law, Juanita Helm; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Jim will be held at a later date.
