James A. Rutter, Jr.

James "Jim" Alfred Rutter Jr., 80, of Monroeville, formerly of Murrysville, passed away in Carrabelle, FL on Thursday, August 24, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born June 30, 1943, son of the late James and Effie (Galan) Rutter Sr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Rowley) Rutter. 

 Jim was the owner of J.A. Rutter Co. His friends and family knew him to be a tremendously honorable and generous man. He was renowned for his cooking skills, particularly his fish fries and gourmet hot dogs. Jim was a sucker for all animals and was known to bring home many stray cats and dogs over the years. The turkey, deer, fox and birds on his property were spoiled rotten by Jim and brought him great joy. 

Jim is survived by three children, Bryce Rutter, Susan (Michael) Mammarella, Jayme (Patrick) Matkozich and three granddaughters, Angelina, Katryna and Madilyn. At Jim's request, there will be no public visitation or services. For online condolences, please visit www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com
