Jean A. (Clausen) Bottorf

Jean A. Bottorf, 93, of  Murrysville, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024, at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. She was born April 30, 1930, in Oconomowoc, WI, daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Shaw Clausen. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Bottorf; a son, Robert J. Bottorf; and a brother, Robert (Vera) Clausen.  

Jean graduated from Bellin Memorial in Green Bay, WI and moved to PA with her husband Jim. She worked for 30 years at Allegheny Valley Hospital as a registered nurse in the nursey. After retiring, she moved to the Village of Clover Ridge. She was active in the community spearheading many activities including the Area on Aging Luncheons and Bridge Club.  During her free time, she enjoyed watching her Packers and Steelers along with gardening and feeding her hummingbirds. She also was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Murrysville. 

Jean is survived by four children, Thomas J. (Deb) Bottorf, Scott C. (Peg) Bottorf, Daniel W. Bottorf, and Heidi A. (Paul) Graham; six grandchildren, Erika (Mike) Dorn, Elizabeth (Paul) Yu, Matthew J. Bottorf, Ashley Bowe, Jason J. (Kristi) Bottorf, and Amanda (Mike) Marnell; eight great-grandchildren, Ethan, Andrew, Olivia, Kylie, Alyson, Chase, Easton and Myles; and a daughter-in-law, Suellen Bottorf. Entrusted with arrangements is Hart Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ’s Lutheran Church, 5330 Logan Ferry Road, Murrysville, PA 15668.
