John R. Blanner

John “Jack” R. Blanner, 91 of Murrysville , passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.  He was born February 23, 1930 in Pittsburgh, son of the late John W. and Anna Savulak Blanner.  In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his first wife of 28 years, Joyce E. (Mooney) Blanner; and a brother, Robert “Kit” C. Blanner.  Prior to retirement, Jack was a hydraulic and Mechanical Engineer with Wieman Pump and Supply.  He was a member of Mother of Sorrows, Murrysville for many years.  He enjoyed summers at Wildwood Acres and Lake Pymatuning and traveling in his motorhome.  Some of his favorite hobbies included radio controlled planes and trains, sailing, and skiing.  He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Eileen O’D Jones Blanner; 8 children, James (Debra) Blanner, Janet (Ron) Merkle, Jean Farmer, Jeff (Vicki) Blanner, Bob (Roberta) Jones, Jim Jones, Richard Jones, and Sharon Jones.  He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great- great grandson.  A memorial visitation for Jack will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Blessing Service at 7 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville.
