John Clyde Funk, 77, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Monroeville Post Acute skilled nursing facility. He was born March 17, 1948, in Pittsburgh, son of the late William and Helen (Dragon) Funk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Ricardo Burdaspar and Ralph Tryka.
John was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam conflict. He was also president of the Murrysville District Sportsmen Association, and treasurer of the Sportsmen and Landowners Alliance of Murrysville.
John is survived by his three sisters, Jean Burdaspar, Barbara Tryka, and Suzanne (Keith) Eckels, and three nephews, Bryce Rutter, Adrian Eckels, and Wesley Meyers.
Memorial visitation for John will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville, followed by Words of Remembrance at 3 p.m., with military honors accorded by the United States Army.
