John L. Sabo, age 61, of Murrysville, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 19, 2025, at his home near Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 26, 1964, in Pittsburgh, he spent most of his life in the Pittsburgh area, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and deep connection.
John was the devoted husband of David Glinski and the proud father of Sydney Sabo, Joshua (Kailyn) Sabo, and Noah Sabo. He is also survived by his sisters Joyce (Jim) Kirkpatrick and Kathleen (Steve) Dovidio, and his nieces and nephews: Ian (Celia) Kirkpatrick, Maureen (Sawyer) Overhoff, Jack, Kyle, and Luke Dovidio. He is preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Phyllis J. Sabo.
A graduate of Franklin Regional High School and Slippery Rock University, John earned a business degree that led him through a variety of careers in sales and the restaurant industry. No matter the role, he brought charisma, warmth, and a genuine care for people to everything he did.
John’s greatest pride in life was being a father. He adored his children and found joy in the simple, shared moments - family dinners, beach trips, or time spent together at home. He was so greatly looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild this coming March. His passions were as vibrant as his personality: he loved boating, camping, the outdoors, the beach, interior design, dancing, cooking, and his beloved pets.
Those who knew John will remember his kindness, humor, and lighthearted spirit. He had an incredible ability to make others feel loved and at ease. His warmth filled every room he entered, and his love for his family and friends was unconditional.
A memorial visitation will be held at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 4pm - 8pm.
