John B. Phelan

John B. Phelan 59, of Cosmos Pizza in Murrysville, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born December 13, 1962, in Pittsburgh, son of Catherine Conley Cappelli and the late John Walter Phelan. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Guido Cappelli Jr. 

He loved working and running the pizza shop. He loved the customers that came in, making time to talk and get to know everyone and helping those who couldn’t afford to pay at the time. 

John is survived by two sons, John “J.J.” (Angela) Phelan and Jerry L.F. Phelan; two grandsons, Sean and Jacob Phelan. John is also survived by his ex-wife, Robin M. Phelan; four brothers and sisters, Lori (Jesse) Wampler, Lisa (Kevin) Campbell, James (Marci) Phelan and Joseph Phelan, several nieces, and nephews.
