Joseph Raymond "Gus" Buechel

Joseph Raymond “Gus” Buechel, 86, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital.  He was born on April 5, 1939, son of the late Joseph and Caroline (Fleming) Buechel.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Buechel, and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Buechel and Doreen Buechel.

Gus was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for over sixty years at Schultheis Brothers Heating and Cooling.  He enjoyed going for long walks and feeding birds at his home.  Most of all he was a good father and provider for his family.

Gus is survived by his three children, Ray (Tracie Wilson) Buechel, Jeffrey Buechel, and Debra Lauer Harmon Buechel; his brothers, Terry (Bernice) Buechel, David (Michelle) Buechel, and Richard Buechel; and his sister, Karen (Wilson) Farmerie.  He is also survived by the mother of his children, Charlene Lema.

A Celebration of Life for Gus will be on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville.
