Karl Schweisthal Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karl L. Schweisthal, who died on March 16th, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Fischbach, Germany on June 12th, 1939, he emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1967, driven by a vision to create a better life for himself and his family.

In the U.S., he founded PIAD Precision Casting Corporation, a manufacturing company that grew from humble beginnings to become the largest copper based alloy foundry in the United States. Through his hard work, innovation, and unwavering determination, he built a successful business that not only provided for his family, but overtime, created countless jobs and opportunities for others in the community.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend who left a lasting impact on all who knew him. His commitment to family, perfection, integrity, and excellence shaped not only the business, but the lives of everyone he encountered.

Karl Schweisthal (preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sigrid Schweisthal) is survived by his son Holger Schweisthal, his daughter Heidrun (Thomas) Weyer, and his three grandsons, Jason Schweisthal, Christian Weyer, and Sebastian Weyer.

There will be no public visitation at the request of the family.  Funeral services will be private.

He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on through his work, his family, and the many lives he touched.
