Kenneth J. Wohlpart, 93, of Plum Borough, PA, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025. He was born on June 18, 1931, in Bronx, NY, son of the late Joseph and Josephine Wohlpart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Joan M. (McGuire) Wohlpart.
He attended St. Bonaventure University where he obtained a B.S. in Biology and was a member of the baseball team and ROTC. He later served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the army during the Korean War. He obtained his Masters Degree in Food Science at Purdue University and by profession was a Research Scientist for Alcoa and Food Inspector the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Ken was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Joy Church in Plum. He was kind and generous and made everyone around him smile. He enjoyed raising and showing American Water Spaniels and Flat-Coated Retrievers. A special thanks to Home Instead for the care they provided him. He will be missed by his many good friends and neighbors.
