Kevin J. Folts

Kevin J. Folts, 57, of Murrysville, passed from this world, taking his last breath on earth and his first in heaven on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Kathleen, and children Timothy (Alyssa) and Kelley (Matthew). He was blessed with and cherished his grandchildren Aurora, Ailia, Ariel, Adelaide, Anderson and Lillian. Kevin is also survived by his parents, siblings, and in-laws as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends were also a wonderful part of Kevin’s life. They provided support, love and light. Kevin’s stories and Folts-isms will be treasured by all. He valued time and adventure with family and friends. He took up the banjo because he said he had never heard a sad banjo song. Sitting around a campfire with Kevin was magical.

Kevin put his God-given talents to good use. There was not a car he could not fix, a do-it-yourself home project he could not tackle or a grand cross-country RV trip he could not plan. The trips involved breath-taking hikes, cruising rails to trails and turning off the pressures of the world.

Kevin served in the US Navy as a nuclear reactor operator. After that, he returned to school to get a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, Kevin began his 25-year career with Westinghouse/Bechtel.
