Larry J. Richey, 66, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was born August 11, 1959, in New Kensington, the son of Dolores M. (Davis) Richey and the late Harry J. Richey.
Larry earned his doctorate and was pharmacist for 35 years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially with his four-year-old great-niece Lydia and was looking forward to the birth of his great-niece baby girl Young. He was never a man of few words, always had plenty of stories to tell and knew the answer to most questions. He had a heart of gold with a laugh that was contagious. He was a member of Keystone Christian Church in Export and his strong faith in the Lord got him through.
He was an active member on the board of directors of Crowfoot Rod and Gun Club in Murrysville and had an interest in finding unique tools and equipment. He was also an avid outdoorsman and fisherman and was a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association.
Larry is survived by his mother, Dolores M. (Davis) Richey; a sister, Phyllis Deitt (Gordon McFarland); a nephew, Isaac Deitt (Julie Bates); two nieces, Naomi Deitt (Nathan Kozak) and Leah (Tyler) Young; a great-niece, Lydia, and another great-niece on the way.
Services for Larry will be private with his family. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Crowfoot Rod and Gun Club, P.O. Box 319, Murrysville, in Larry’s name.
