Leonard "Len" Bach, 82, of Murrysville, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, at William Penn Care Center, Jeannette, with his wife by his side. He was born June 5, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late William and Anna Bach.
He was a veteran of the US Air Force and proud patriot, having served during the Vietnam Era. Prior to retirement, he spent his entire 37 year business career with Westinghouse. Having been on the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium Board for 25 years, he considered himself an Ambassador for the zoo, calling it "his" zoo. He was a master player of Sudoku Puzzles, solving 11 grids at a time and was an active member of Westinghouse SURE retirees. He was a long-time volunteer with AARP, helping to spread the word about frauds and scams.
Len was a beloved husband and true partner for over 57 years to Mary Bach, nationally recognized Consumer Advocate, of whom he was immensely proud; loving father to Alison Bach Onega, and James (Traci) Bach; grandfather of Austin and Ashley Onega and Cooper and Cole Bach. He is also survived by his brother, Victor Bach, and nieces and nephews.
